 To satisfy the
special requirements of certain applications or customers, Fibrex custom
manufactures pipe and other products to meet those requirements. This may
be on the basis of Fibrex recommendations for the intended application or
the customer's own specifications.
Some of
the variables in custom FRP pipe and other equipment are:
- A variety
of available resins formulated for high temperatures, fire
retardance or specific chemical environments
- Thick
corrosion barriers for greater corrosion resistance
- Synthetic
polyester surface veil (Nexus) in lieu of C-glass
- Contact-molded
or filament-wound structural laminates to meet the specific pressure
or structural requirements
- External
duct stiffeners to resist negative pressures
- Sizes up to
120" diameter
